Coaches

Dave Knight — Head Coach Coach Dave is a Certified Elementary Teacher with Coaching Endorsement. His coaching experience includes five years with youth programs, two years at the high school level and two years at the collegiate level. Coach Dave is also a NCAA All-American sprinter who received a full scholarship for football to Iowa State (NCAA D1 Track/Football & Big 12 Champion ). In addition, Coach Dave ran professionally for three years. He is married to Coach Lexi, and they have three daughters – India, Kennedy, and Sydney.
Alexia Knight — Assistant Head Coach Short Sprints Coach Lexi has 15 years of experience in track and field, specializing in the 100m, 200m and Long Jump. Coach Lexi is a Youth Junior Olympic Champion and high school state champion who received a full scholarship to Iowa State where she competed all four years.
Zack Dixon — Assistant Coach Strength and Conditioning Coach Zack is an experienced all-around athlete who has competed in several sports. As a student at Temple University, he was a champion sprinter who competed in the Penn Relays for three years. He has been involved in sports from the age of 5 and has played professional football in the NFL. His son, Hassan, and daughter, Shiane, both run with the Titans, and his wife, Diane, is responsible for registration. He is presently a certified software engineer and a personal trainer. He is also a youth football coach for South Germantown where his son has played for many years. He also helps coach his daughter Shiane's basketball team.
Mark Small — Assistant Coach Sprints Mark has been a part of the Titans team for 2 years. He attends Clarksburg High School. He has qualified and competed in the USATF and AAU Jr. Olympics in 2005 and 2006. He competes in the 100, 200 and 400 meters events as well as the 4x100 and 4x400 meter relays. This is his first year of coaching and he is excited about assisting and working with the younger athletes.
Aerek Stephens — Assistant Coach Sprints Coach Aerek is the son of a track coach, so he grew up with the sport – running track as well as playing football and basketball in high school. He is a certified USATF official. Coach Aerek holds a degree in Business Management from Elizabeth City State University, and is presently employed by Citigroup as the AVP Senior Project Manager. He and Coach Toia have been married for 15 years, and they have one daughter, Kiana, who runs for the Titans.
Toia Stephens — Assistant Coach Sprints Coach Toia was introduced to Track & Field at an early age. She ran on a relay team that was ranked number one in Pasquotank County. Coach Toia is a graduate of Elizabeth City State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Early Childhood Education and a Master's Degree in Administration and Supervision from Bowie State University. Coach Toia is currently a first grade teacher for Montgomery County Public Schools. She trains new teachers in the school system and teaches courses for Para Educators who want to climb up the career ladder. Coach Toia is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated.
Lisa Viera — Assistant Coach Middle/Long Distances Coach Lisa is a 5K and 10K distance runner who competes in various races in the DC/MD/VA area throughout the year. She is a current member of the Montgomery County Road Runners Club (MCRRC) and is training for her first half marathon. Coach Lisa is a graduate of Pace University in New York with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing. She is a Regulatory Specialist at FINRA where she has worked for 20 years. Her children Danielle and Eric run for the Titans and she and her husband Raymond have been married for 16 years.
Katie Wolf — Assistant Coach Sprints Coach Katie is both a Titans coach and a Titans athlete, running during the school year for Churchill High School and during the summer for the Titans. As a freshman at Churchill, she broke the Churchill High School records in the 100m, 200m, and 400m dash, and finished 2nd in the 200m dash at the 2007 Maryland 4A State Championships.
